Rossmore woman gets Inchydoney's top job

Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa has announced the promotion of Catriona O’Keeffe to the position of general manager. 

INCHYDONEY Island Lodge & Spa has announced the promotion of Catriona O’Keeffe to the position of general manager. 

Catriona has been an integral part of the team since the hotel’s opening in 1998 and has been influential in all areas of the operation from food and beverage to accommodation, front of house and the Island Spa.

Born in nearby Rossmore, Catriona attended secondary school in Clonakilty, before studying Travel & Tourism at CIT. 

She gathered experience during her time in the Failte Ireland tourist office in Cork city, as well working in hospitality in Edinburgh, before returning to Clonakilty to take up a position as receptionist at the Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa when the hotel first opened. 

Catriona continued her studies at night and attained a diploma in Public Relations from CIT in 2004.

 During her time with the hotel, Catriona has excelled in various roles within the team from workign in reservations, through to positions in front of house, restaurant management, the Spa (operations manager and deputy general manager.)

 Catriona is married to Waterford native Keith Kennedy and has three children – Niamh, Richard and Sean. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with the family, swimming and running.
