Molly O’Donoghue, a pupil at Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai has always grown her hair, but last year decided she wanted to cut her locks and donate them to charity.

She donated over 12 inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust who provide free wigs to children and young people who have lost their own due to cancer.

Through sponsorship she raised the impressive amount for Bantry Hospice and presented the cheque to Joe Keane, Pat Morrissey and Claire Hayden recently.

Image Hair Salon in Bantry cut her hair and restyled it free of charge, reflecting the enormous goodwill shown towards Molly and her charitable endeavours.
