Lotto luck in Skibb again

LADY luck is certainly shining on Skibbereen as once again the West Cork town can lay claim to another Euro Millions win.

A lucky punter won the top prize of €500,000 in Tuesday’s Euro Millions Plus draw.

The winning ticket, a €3 quick pick, was bought in Hennessy’s Londis on Bridge Street on Tuesday afternoon, and the winning numbers in the Euro Millions Plus Draw were 1, 22, 26, 41, 49.

‘We got a phone call this morning from out Lotto representative to tell us the winning ticket was sold at our shop and it’s fantastic news. Skibbereen certainly has a magnetic touch when it comes to the Lotto,’ said Brian Hennessy, speaking to The Southern Star.

‘We’ve been telling our customers all day about the win and those that play the Lotto regularly. You would assume at this time of the year that the winner should be from the town or surrounding areas, but you never know. We’ve had two €1m wins in the past, but this is the biggest win we’ve had in a while.’

This is the second time in the space of two months that a €500,000 Euro Millions Plus has been sold in Skibbereen. This week’s winner has 90 days to claim their prize.
