A ‘PARENTING Room’ has been opened at the Riverview Shopping Centre in Bandon.

A ‘PARENTING Room’ has been opened at the Riverview Shopping Centre in Bandon.

Sponsored by Caulfields SuperValu and Pampers, the facility will offer parents a dedicated private room for feeding, baby-changing and looking after their children’s needs while shopping in the centre.

The room has comfy chairs for breastfeeding, toys and baby changing facilities. It has been designed and decorated in a child-friendly and soothing style.

The ribbon on the new parenting room was cut by two-year-old Juliette Kelleher from Aherla.

Commenting at the ‘Parenting Room’ official opening Niamh Sammon, manager at The Riverview Shopping Centre said: ‘We are very excited to open this fantastic new facility at the Riverview Shopping Centre. I’m a mum myself so I know what busy parents need and I think the Parenting Room will be of enormous benefit to parents shopping in the Centre. The room is comfortable and there is managed access to the room so offers parents privacy.  We would like to thank Caulfield’s SuperValu for their sponsorship of the room, they love to support busy mums and will host lots more Mum & Baby events over the coming months.’
