THE Southern Star, in conjunction with the Kinsale Chamber of Tourism and Business, hosted a Business Breakfast in Kinsale last week.

The breakfast, which was a briefing on how the Southern Star can work for businesses in West Cork, and Kinsale in particular, was held in the Blue Haven Hotel in the town.

It was well attended by a number of local business people from Kinsale, and many who had travelled from further afield including Cork city and other parts of West Cork.

The staff of the Blue Haven served a wonderful breakfast of local produce, while the Southern Star managing director Sean Mahon, and members of the editorial team, addressed the audience.

As guests of Cormac Fitzgerald and the Kinsale Chamber, the Southern Star team was made feel very welcome. It was one in a series of breakfast briefings that the newspaper is hosting throughout West Cork, having already held similar events in Bandon and Clonakilty.

Events will also be held in Skibbereen and Bantry later in the year.

Guests at the breakfast were also introduced to reporter Kieran O’Mahony, who recently joined the editorial staff at the paper. He will be covering the Kinsale area over the coming months.
