A FUNDRAISER for Féile O’Sullivan, who lost both her legs in a farming accident, has been named the number one GoFundMe campaign in Ireland this year.

Supported by her family, local GAA clubs and her wider community, over €773,000 was raised to fund life-saving medical treatment, prosthetics and long-term rehabilitation.

Féile has undergone more than 60 surgeries since the accident and continues to inspire her community with her courage and determination.

Her mother said the generosity shown has been ‘transformational’ and will ensure Féile receives the specialist care she needs for the years ahead.

A recent update from her family on the GoFundMe page says that Féile is now able to get out and about around the hospital in her motorised chair and that regaining that little bit of independence has lifted her spirits, and she’s truly enjoying feeling more like herself again.

Féile is grateful to every single person who has supported her, sent love, donated, or kept her in their thoughts.

GoFundMe’s 2025 report shows that over €50 million was raised across Ireland in 2025. Ireland has once again been named the Most Generous Country in the World, topping GoFundMe’s global charts for the seventh year in a row.

With one in ten people donating and more than 560,000 donors supporting causes throughout the year, Ireland continues to set an international benchmark for compassion and community spirit.

In total, 28,000 fundraisers were launched across the country – ranging from urgent medical appeals to community-led support for Irish people abroad.
