Elderly lady knocked down in Bantry town traffic incident

THERE are reports this afternoon that an elderly lady has been hit by a truck in Bantry town centre.

It is believed the accident happened shortly after noon in the centre of the West Cork town.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, close to the tourist office.

Eyewitness reports say the lady was seriously injured.
