Darrara Community Centre will celebrate 40 years as a community hub, and almost 140 years of history since the old school building first opened in 1887, with a special event on Sunday, October 12th, from 2.30pm to 5pm.

The afternoon will feature a Historic Exhibition; a plaque unveiling at 2.30pm, and displays highlighting the generations who passed through the school and the vibrant community life it continues to support.

There will also be a Children’s Art Competition, live music from Denis the Postman & Friends, plus tea and refreshments.

Families, past pupils, and the wider community are warmly invited to come along, share memories, and enjoy the celebrations. Admission is free and all are welcome.
