The Courtmachsherry all weather RNLI lifeboat was called out yesterday evening to go to the aid of 21ft pleasure boat.
A 21-foot pleasure was taken to safety by Courtmacsherry Lifeboat near Coolim Cliffs yesterday evening.
The Courtmacsherry all weather RNLI Lifeboat was called out at 6.15pm to go to the aid of a 21ft pleasure boat which got into trouble and sought assistance just off Coolim Cliffs near Seven Heads in West Cork.
Under Coxswain Ken Cashman and a crew of six, the Lifeboat was underway within minutes and quickly located the stricken boat at 6.35pm and immediately secured a tow line to same. All arrived back in the safe surrounds of Courtmacsherry Harbour and the Lifeboat was refuelled and back at its mooring in readiness for any further callout.
The crew on yesterday's Callout were Coxswain Ken Cashman, Mechanic Tadgh McCarthy and crew Mark Gannon, Denis Murphy, Donal Young , Evin O Sullivan and Sean Maxwell.
