Clonakilty Special Olympians welcome home this evening

Clonakilty Special Olympics Club is encouraging people to come out this evening at Asna Square at 7.30pm.

Clonakilty Special Olympics Club is encouraging people to come out this evening (Monday) at Asna Square at 7.30pm, where six local athletes who participated in at the weekends Ireland Special Olympics Games in Dublin will be welcomed home.

Eileen O' Sullivan, Kevin O' Dwyer and Wayne O' Sullivan from the Clonakilty Special Olympics Club represented Munster in Golf Skills, while fellow club members Aoife McMahon and Leo Buckley represented the COPE Foundation at the games as did fellow COPE client Breda O' Donovan.

They will arrive at Asna Square on the towns famous "Choo Choo" train at 7.30pm and be greeted by the Town Mayor, Special Olympics and COPE personnel, their families and the general public. 

All are asked to be at Asna Square for 7.20pm to ensure that the local heroes receive a great céad míle fáilte.
