Judge Carroll read both charges to the accused in court.
It is alleged that on February 7th 2020 he, as master of the Menhaden fishing vessel, was in contravention of fishing regulations by failing to correctly fill in the logbook for operations by over-recording a catch of Horse Mackerel.
The second charge alleged that on March 25th 2022, the master of the vessel failed to correctly fill in the logbook by over-recording a catch of Blue Whiting.
After administering the alibi warning, Judge Carroll remanded the accused on continuing bail to the next sitting of Cork Circuit Criminal Court, which commences on February 10th.
