THE Cork Education and Training Board (Cork ETB) has announced the appointment of Áine-Máire Ní Fhaoláin as principal of the new Gaelcholáiste in Carrigaline.

The new temporary school will open in September 2015 with many students now already enrolled. Cork ETB earlier announced Waterpark House as the temporary premises for Gaelcholáiste Charraig Uí Leighin.

The planning and building of the permanent €19m campus is ongoing. The new permanent Gaelcholáiste will form part of a three-school campus which will include a Gaelscoil and a Sonas Junior primary school.

The campus will accommodate over 1,000 pupils when completed. For more see www.cork.etb.ie.
