A man in his 20s has been charged this afternoon in connection with a seizure of heroin in Clonakilty, which has been described as ‘significant' by detectives investigating the case.
A man in his 20s has been charged this afternoon in connection with a seizure of heroin in Clonakilty, which has been described as âsignificant' by detectives investigating the case.
Believed to be Irish, he was one of three men who were stopped and searched by Gardai in the West Cork town. The searches yielded heroin with an estimated street value of around â¬2,000 according to the Garda press office.
The man who was arrested at the scene was taken to Clonakilty Garda Station and, following questioning, was charged in connection with the seizure. He is due to appear before Clonakilty District Court on Tuesday next.
