The local community came together to improve road safety on the N22 at the junction known as Powell’s Cross, Lissarda. As part of the initiative, the community raised funds to help progress the project. Following the successful completion of the safety works, a surplus of funds remained. A survey of those who contributed to the original fund showed overwhelming support for donating the remaining balance to West Cork Rapid Response and the presentation took place at an event held at Mia Fitz, Lissarda, where the funds were formally presented to WCRR.
