The Ilen Rovers U8 boys had a great day out last Saturday morning at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. They played a number of games and ended the season on a high. Eileen Hayes presented a cheque for €12,255 to West Cork Rapid Response. The funds were raised during her hugely successful pop-up Shop held in Kilbrittain in August. Thanks was expressed to everyone who supported the event and thanks also to West Cork Rapid Response who provide vital support to West Cork in times of crisis.

West Cork Cheval team Tony and Kathleen O'Mahony recently presented a cheque of €2,000 to Helen O'Driscoll, manager of Cancer Connect. The cheval took place in Rosscarbery in May 2025 and was hugely successful. Helen thanked both West Cork Cheval and everyone involved for their commitment and partnership in making a difference to those on a cancer journey.

The victorious Kilmacabea / St James team and coaching staff who beat Kilmeen in Timoleague on Sunday in the Rebel Óg West Fe18 D2 football championship final in a very close and competitive match which finished with a final score of Kilmacabea/St James 1-12, Kilmeen 0-12.

Jerry O'Callaghan from Colla celebrated his 100th birthday at Schull Community Hospital surrounded by his children, grand-children, great grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. He was delighted to show everyone the president’s acknowledgement of his longevity in the form of a giant cheque.
