Gardaí seal off house after woman found dead in Bandon

GARDAÍ have sealed off a house in Bandon after a woman in her 30s was found dead in the house this morning by her young children.

The woman, who lived in the Richmond Court estate, in the Clancool area, was found deceased by her children, who range in age from 3-10 years, shortly after 9am today.

‘The house has been sealed off as a precaution,’ a garda spokesperson told The Southern Star.

State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is due to carry out a post mortem on the body of the woman tomorrow morning.

‘The results of the post mortem will dictate what way the investigation goes after that,’ said the garda.
