THE upcoming SuperValu West Cork Schoolboys League 2016/17 season has already been enhanced with the launch of a new accompanying website.

Partnering with the world renowned LeagueRepublic.com, the West Cork Schoolboys League has launched a new interactive website set to deliver the best on-line experience for WCSL clubs, players, coaches, referees and supporters throughout the 2016/17 campaign.

The new website is still located at www.westcorkschoolboysleague.com and optimised for tablet and smart phone use. New backend technology will allow site-visitors the opportunity to access WCSL content on the move or wherever they are located in West Cork and beyond.

‘Our brand new website, in partnership with LeagueRepublic.com, is going to prove hugely popular with players, coaches and supporters of the SuperValu West Cork Schoolboys League,’ commented WCSL Secretary Hugh O’Reilly.

‘The ability to use your smartphone or tablet to gain instant access to results, fixtures or WCSL news is going to be a huge plus. I expect the site to grow quite quickly as having all the league’s important information in one place should attract plenty of visitors.

‘It is a very important year for schoolboys’ football in West Cork and we will be using our new website to display all our Emerging Talent Programme, Inter-League, Galway and Kennedy Cup news and reports which is just as important as our domestic leagues.’

The new LeagueRepublic powered cross-platform solution will automatically interact with the league’s official Twitter account @wcorkschoolboys as well as a brand new FaceBook page located at www.facebook.com/thewcsl/ so you won’t miss a result, fixture update or any breaking news throughout the season.

An updated ‘Results/Fixtures/Tables’ section will allow users instant access to any individual WCSL team’s current status, drill down into specific results and view goalscorers plus standout players data.  The new ‘Information’ section will incorporate dedicated links to our region’s successful Emerging Talent Programme (ETP) as well as additional SFAI National Inter-league and SFAI Cups details.

A revamped ‘News’ section will detail any important WCSL-related information as soon as it happens whilst a new ‘Venues’ area will present users with a Google Map of every WCSL pitch location across the West Cork region.

‘Photos and Videos’ will be populated by collated WCSL-related media while the new ‘Statistics’ area is likely to prove hugely popular, allowing site-users the opportunity to study any individual team’s form plus enter their own predicted scores in the ‘Standings Predictor’ section.
