BUNRATTY United have gone three points clear at the top of the West Cork League Championship table.
Goals from Ryan O’Neill (2) and Isaac Solomon fired Bunratty to a 3-1 win against Aultagh Celtic, who netted a late consolation goal through Oisín O’Connell.
This victory means Bunratty have moved to 45 points, three clear of Beara United in second place, but the latter have three games in hand.

With two teams to go up, it’s between Bunratty, Beara and fourth-placed Ardfield, who are 11 points behind Bunratty but have four games in hand. Bay Rovers, in third on 39 points, have only one league game left.
This Sunday, Bunratty play their final league game away to Aultagh Celtic B, while Beara United will look to bounce back from their Championship Cup final loss when they host Skibbereen Celtic.
Also in the Championship last weekend, Castlelack beat Aultagh Celtic B 4-1. Brian Lordan hit a hat-trick for Castlelack after Evan O’Shea had opened the scoring. John Barrett scored a consolation goal for Aultagh B.

Having relinquished their Premier Division title the previous weekend, Clonakilty Soccer Club returned to winning ways with a 5-3 win against Donoughmore Athletic in round two of the FAI Junior Cup. Chris Collins (2), Eoin Murphy, Odhrán Bancroft and Charlie McShane were all on target for the West Cork League club.
There was no joy for Beara United in round one of the Munster FA Women’s Junior Cup, as they lost 2-1 to Avondale. Shannon Hanley-Murphy was on target for Beara, but Avondale scored an extra-time winner.

There has been plenty of action in the U18 league. Drinagh Rangers top the table on ten points after four games. Joe McCarthy scored four goals in their 5-2 win against Bunratty United, while Pádraic Hegarty was also on target for Drinagh. Frankie Whelton and Adam Whelton scored late goals for Bunratty.
Dunmanway Town, in second place, played twice in the past week. First, they beat Togher Celtic 3-1 thanks to goals from Sam Foley, Luke Holland and Shane O’Connell. That was followed by a 4-4 draw with Bay Rovers, who sit in third place.
There were goals galore when Castlelack defeated Togher Celtic 6-4. Rory Curtin (2), Colm Sexton (2) and Liam Ryan (2) were all on target for Castlelack. Filip Kowalewski (2), Aaron Hurley and Sean Galvin replied for Togher.
