THREE positions remain vacant on the Carbery GAA Board ahead of Friday night’s AGM at Castletownkenneigh, at 8pm.

The positions of treasurer, development officer and coaching officer are still open to the clubs – and these roles will be discussed at the AGM.

This obviously means that there will be quite significant changes at the top table of the Carbery board for 2017. Joe Crowley (Randal Óg) will remain as chairman and Tom Lyons (Clonakilty) as vice-chairman, while current PRO Donal McCarthy (Dohenys) will take over as the board secretary from Donal Leahy (Tadhg MacCarthaigh), whose five-year tenure is up.

Since Donal McCarthy will take over as board secretary, Martina Burns (Clann na nGael) will come in as the division’s new PRO.

Patjoe Connolly’s five-year term as treasurer is finished and Finian O’Sullivan’s time as development officer is also over – those two positions are still vacant.

The third vacant position is the role of Carbery coaching officer after Daniel Cronin (St Mary’s) stepped down after one year.

Vincent Dullea (Kilmeen/Kilbree) will continue in his role as Irish/Cultural officer.
