BANDON’s hurling managerial ticket, led by Joe Burke and James Nyhan, are staying on for a second season, as the team plans for 2026.
The Lilywhites went all the way to the Intermediate A Hurling Championship final in 2025, but fell short to Aghabullogue by the minimum (1-21 to 0-23).
There is a feeling of unfinished business as manager Burke hopes to get the Carbery club over the line in 2026, but first a group containing Aghada, Russell Rovers and West Cork Kilbrittain rivals is to be navigated.

In the premier junior grade, Argideen Rangers have new management too as Christy Crowley takes charge in the new year. Crowley replaces Jim Foley who led the club’s footballers and hurlers in 2025. The new coaching ticket for the Timoleague club includes coach Barry Harte, selectors Mikey Walsh, Bertie Smith and Mike O’Callaghan and strength and conditioning coach Niall McIntyre.
Argideen reached the knockout stage of the championship last year, eventually succumbing to a quarter-final defeat against Cloughduv (3-18 to 1-14). They have Mayfield, St Finbarr’s second team and local rivals Barryroe in their championship group in 2026.
