THERE’S a lot more to me than the spin kick,’ Oisín Brady quips – but there’s no disputing the deadliness of his signature move.

At Total Kombat 2 in London in September, the Bantry kickboxer stopped his opponent, Toprak Cavin Kanat, with a spinning back kick. The finish went viral: 14 million views on Instagram, another five million on TikTok. Suddenly, Oisín’s power and precision had reached a whole new audience as he moved to 2–0 in Total Kombat – both wins coming via the same spectacular strike.

‘There is far more to my game than one move,’ the UCC student says.

‘I have 15 years of kickboxing behind me. My opponents might think “the spin kick is coming”, but I’ll land hands and head kicks here and there. Of course, if the opportunity for the spin kick comes, I’ll take it.

‘I’ve won two fights at Total Kombat with a spin kick, and at the Hungarian World Cup I also stopped my opponent with one. It’s a rolling theme right now so I might have to change it up to keep people guessing!’

It’s been another standout year for Oisín. In November he defended his welterweight title in Skill Striker with a unanimous win over Arya Fard. Combine that with his Total Kombat success and a string of kickboxing results – including silver in senior light contact (71kg) at the Italian Open – and 2025 has been packed with momentum.

‘It’s been a good year, and fighting at Total Kombat has been a great experience,’ he explains. ‘Big arena, bright lights, cameras – it’s great exposure for everyone. Total Kombat suits my style. It’s very engaging, very entertaining to watch because a lot can happen. With the platform we fight on, there’s no stepping off the mat, so it’s constant go. Getting the opportunity to fight in an event like this is a chance to show what I can really do.’

Looking to 2026, the plan is to continue competing in WAKO while also returning to the Total Kombat stage.

‘I want to keep fighting in WAKO, the skill level there is second to none and it helps me keep developing,’ he says.
