It's all systems go for 2015 Carbery All-Stars at the end of November

GAA President Aogan Ó Fearghail will be the guest of honour at the inaugural 2015 Carbery GAA Junior All-Stars awards night, which will be held in the Westlodge Hotel, Bantry, on Friday, November 27th.

These exciting new awards will honour the 15 best footballers and hurlers – as deemed by the selection committee – who competed in this season’s West Cork junior A and B football and A hurling championships, which were won by Bandon and Clonakilty respectively.

A Player of the Year in both hurling and football will also be honoured on the night.

‘Now that the county senior football final is over, attention will turn to the Carbery GAA football and hurling All-Stars at the end of November,’ Carbery GAA Chairman John Corcorcan explained.

‘It is a great honour for the division and the awards that the GAA President has agreed to attend on the night.

‘It will be a fantastic occasion for West Cork GAA and we will be delighted to welcome the GAA President to Carbery in his first year in office.

‘This will be a celebration of all that is good in Carbery junior football and hurling, and I have no doubt that this event will go from strength to strength in future years.’

These awards will honour the top performers in Carbery’s prized championships, in the same manner as the well-known national All-Star series.

In The Southern Star in the edition before the awards night, we will be exclusively revealing the 2015 Carbery GAA Junior Hurling All-Stars team, while the 2015 Carbery GAA Junior Football All-Stars team will be announced on the night itself, as well as the Football and Hurling Players of the Year.

Tickets will be going on general sale for this not-be-missed event and for further ticket information contact your club.
