CORK City FC captain John Dunleavy will undergo surgery in the coming days after suffering a meniscal knee injury in the early stages of last Friday’s game against Dundalk.
Following a consultation with a specialist this week, Dunleavy will undergo surgery, with the anticipated rehabilitation time be in the region of four months.
Commenting on the news, manager John Caulfield said: ‘It is obviously extremely disappointing for Johnny and for us to lose him for the next few months. He is in very good hands with the medical team at the club and we all wish him a speedy recovery.’
