CORK U21 football manager Sean Hayes has praised the attitude of his young charges after their 1-12 to 1-9 Munster U21 football championship semi-final win against Kerry at Pairc Ui Rinn on Wednesday night.

Reigning Munster U21 champions Cork will now face Tipperary in the final on April 8th in Semple Stadium.

Cathal Vaughan scored 0-4 (3f), Sean O’Donoghue added 1-1 – the goal coming in the first half – Sean White, Peter Kelleher and sub Conor Horgan all scored 0-2 apiece and captain Brian O’Driscoll added 0-1, as Cork finished strongly in the last 15 minutes to record their fifth straight Munster U21 win against Kerry.

‘The improvement in every aspect of the game from the week before was the most pleasing aspect of the performance. The attitude, the commitment, the football; everything improved so much from the Limerick game, which was great to see,’ manager Hayes told The Southern Star.
