Doheny AC star won three gold medals at Munster Senior and Masters Indoor Championships in January
CONGRATULATIONS to Doheny AC star Anna O’Neill who was presented with the Celtic Ross West Cork Sports Star of the Month award for January on Tuesday night.
Last month Anna, who has represented Ireland in athletics, won three titles at the Munster Senior and Masters Indoor Championships held in Nenagh.
Anna won gold in the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m as well as setting a new Munster record for the 3000m.
A week later the Ballinacarriga mother of four – married to Tony – was on the Cork O35 team that won bronze at the All-Ireland Masters’ Cross-Country held in Athlone.
Well done, Anna – a very worthy recipient to the first monthly award of the hugely popular 2016 Celtic Ross West Cork Sports Star awards.
