18 clubs will compete for South West junior A football crown
LAST year’s defeated South West JAFC finalists, St Colum’s, have been drawn against St James’ in the first round of this year’s competition. Colum’s lost to Gabriel Rangers in last season’s decider but will be seen as one of the favourites to land the big prize this year.
Tadhg MacCarthaigh, semi-finalists last season, meet Ilen Rovers in the opening round, while Kilmacabea, also a semi-finalist in 2016, must take on Diarmuid Ó Mathúnas.
