Woman (58) dies in house fire near Union Hall

A WOMAN (58) was fatally injured in a house fire near the village of Union Hall this morning.

Units of the fire brigade from Skibbereen and Clonakilty attended the scene around 8.10am this morning near Myross.

It is believed the woman was living alone in a cottage which is near the coast.

Gardai in Skibbereen are investigating the fire and the body remains at the scene but the fire is not believed to be suspicious. Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
