The An Post Rás cycle race blazes a trail through West Cork today, Thursday, May 26th
Stage 5 (148.3km) of the An Post Rás travels from Sneem in Co Kerry today to the stage finish in Clonakilty. The peloton will travel through Kenmare (11.30am approx), over the Caha Pass to Glengarriff (12 noon), through Bantry (12.26pm), Ballydehob (12.49pm), Skibbereen (13.06pm), Leap (13.20pm), Glandore (13.25pm) and back on to the N71 to Clonakilty. Expected finish time at the Garda Station in Clonakilty between 2pm and 3pm. Times are approximate and dependent on weather conditions, headwinds etc.
Come on out and give the cyclists a fantastic West Cork welcome – the Rás always makes for a great spectacle. In the interests of safety you are asked to obey stewards, gardai and to heed any diversions and road closures.
