RESIDENTS of Belgooly outside Kinsale are so annoyed with the speed of traffic through their village that they have made a three-minute video which ends with the words PLEASE SLOW DOWN.
The video, made by producer Donal O’Dwyer, features interviews with locals about their experiences trying to navigate their village as traffic whizzes past.
One woman explains how her child was 'one foot away' from being killed by a truck which rounded the bend and didn't see him crossing at the village's pedestrian crossing.
The video makes the point that this is the last village that visitors to the Wild Atlantic Way will meet before beginning their journey and, as a result, the traffic is increasing year-on-year.
