Hosted by Cllr Murphy, with media partner The Southern Star, ‘Rewind to the 80s’ is a fundraising charity night that’s taking place on April 6th in the Westlodge Hotel, Bantry which will raise funds for Cancer Connect, Cork ARC and Co-Action.

Speaking at the launch, Cllr Murphy said: ‘I am honoured to have the opportunity to host this exciting event and am keen that business, tourism, cultural and community representatives will come out and support the night, which will greatly assist three very worthy local beneficiaries.

‘I would also like to sincerely thank our sponsors, as well as our media partner, The Southern Star, whose support has been invaluable and will ensure that the night will be a memorable occasion.’

Representatives from all three of the charities have expressed their appreciation at having been selected and hope that people will come out in support of the event.

MC for the evening, which will feature prizes for best 80s outfit, is celebrity solicitor Gerald Kean and tickets cost €45.

The charity night replaces the normal county mayor’s ball which is usually held in the County Hall in Cork. To book contact [email protected] or call (021) 4285367. Tickets are also available directly from the Westlodge Hotel.
