A book of evidence is due to be completed in the next few weeks.

The State’s application was to remand Mr Bohane on bail so that the book of evidence could be prepared and served, Sgt Mulcahy said.

When addressed by the judge, Mr Bohane said he owned a 60-acre farm.

Judge Joanne Carroll said: ‘You had animals in a shed in six to nine inches of slurry.’

The charges relate to a period between September 9th 2020 and December 4th 2020.

Mr Bohane was remanded on bail to March 10th at Skibbereen District Court for the prosecution to serve the book of evidence.
