Woman to appear in Macroom court today in connection with fatal stabbing

A FEMALE in her 40s, who was arrested in relation to a fatal stabbing in Macroom, is expected to appear before Macroom District Court at 10.30am this morning.  

Gardaí investigating the fatal stabbing at the house on Dan Corkery Place, Macroom on Monday morning arrested the woman this week.

She was detained at Bandon Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

At approximately 1.50am on Monday morning, gardaí were called to the house and discovered a 44-year-old man deceased with suspected stab wounds.

He was later named as Timmy Foley from Clonakilty.
