THE  41st Kinsale Gourmet Festival promises a menu of fine food, wine and fun when it takes place from  October 14th-15th.

Hosted by Kinsale’s 11 Good Food Circle restaurants, a highlight is Saturday’s Mad Hatter’s Taste of Kinsale, sponsored by Musgrave’s Market Place.

This is an escorted ‘foodie walking tour’ where people show off their colourful headgear and fancy dress costumes.

Participants follow Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the field mouse to four venues for a lunchtime spread of the finest food from Kinsale’s Good Food Circle restaurants.

The Mad Hatters assemble at Acton’s Hotel at 11.30am for a sparkling send-off, sponsored by Christy’s Wines and will meet up again at The White Lady for some afternoon dancing. The Festival concludes on Sunday with a Fruits de Mer Luncheon.

Tickets are available from kisnalerestaurants.com
