HUNDREDS OF homes in West Cork were left without electricity following a power outage on Thursday morning.
Areas around Skibbereen, Bantry, Glengarriff, Ballydehob, Schull and Toormore, among others were affected by the power disruptions.
The faults came following a night of high winds and lightning strikes.
ESB networks were hopeful of restoring power to most areas by mid-afternoon.
