CIT’S new Bachelor of Business in Business Administration at the Cork College of Commerce West Cork Campus in Skibbereen is underway with limited places still available on the degree programme.

This new degree offering for Skibbereen is being delivered on an outreach basis three evenings per week.

Don Crowley, head of department of organisation and professional development at CIT School of Business said CIT ‘was delighted to provide this unique opportunity to complete a degree programme in Skibbereen and appreciate the support of the Cork College of Commerce West Cork Campus’.

He added: ‘By completing a degree, candidates increase their analytical skills and improve their employability prospects, as well as nurturing their leadership, numeracy and problem-solving skills.  Being able to complete this programme remotely is an exciting opportunity for all involved.’

Speaking in advance of delivering her first lecture on the campus, Skibbereen native, Ann Marie O’Donoghue, programme co-ordinator, said that this was ‘a terrific opportunity for the people of West Cork to gain a degree on a part-time basis without the requirement to commute to Cork.  There are greater job opportunities available for graduates and these skills are in demand by industry in the West Cork area and beyond.’
