MACRA members across the Carbery region have been enjoying a busy and sociable spring, despite many members being tied up with the demands of the calving season.
Recent weeks have seen a variety of successful events, including the Carbery Talent Competition, a special ladies’ lunch held to celebrate International Women’s Day, participation in several local St Patrick’s Day parades, and Dunmanway Macra’s well supported table quiz for Daffodil Day.

On Friday night, March 27th, Ballinascarthy Macra hosted a table quiz in aid of Cancer Connect and Ballinascarthy Hall in the Henry Forde Tavern. The Carbery round of volleyball took place on Sunday, March 29th, in Dunmanway Community Hall.
Also on Sunday, Bantry Macra hosted a charity walk/run in aid of Critical and Bantry Red Cross.
Looking ahead, Kilmeen Macra will host a dance with the popular Derek Burke Band at the Village Inn, Enniskeane on April 10th at 8pm. Guaranteed to be a fantastic night of music and dancing.
