Fastnet Film Festival has announced film and television producer John Kelleher as festival director for the 2020 festival in Schull.

FASTNET Film Festival has announced film and television producer John Kelleher as festival director for the 2020 festival in Schull. 

A former director of IFCO (the Irish Film Classification Office), John’s production credits include feature films, television drama and award-winning documentaries. 

He is on the board of Troy Studios, Creative Europe and Wildcard Distribution and is the resident film critic on Ivan Yates’s The Hard Shoulder on Newstalk. 

John is also a patron and former chairperson of the Schull-based film festival.

Call for Entries for the 12th Fastnet Film Festival has already been announced announced, with a healthy prize fund of €20,000. 

Entries opened on September 1st with a new irish language category which carries a prize of €2,000 in cash.
