THE Heron Gallery in Ahakista is hosting a themed exhibition of invited artists in July.
The subject is ‘hares’ and the exhibition will be interpretations, in a variety of media – jewellery, ceramics, felt, papermache , painting and books, of this beautiful and often mysterious animal.
Hares are magical, elusive creatures and everyone feels special when there is a sighting. The exciting work at this exhibition encompasses the ‘essence’ of the hare. Artists include Annabel Langrish, Etain Hickey, Margo Banks, Heidi Wickham, Eithne Jordan and Sylvia Parkinson.
The exhibition will run until the end of the month and the café and gardens are open everyday, from 10.30am until 5.30pm.
