Gardai appeal for drivers to slow down

Three single vehicle collision have taken place in West Cork this morning.

GARDAÍ are appealing to drivers to slow down following a number of collisions in the county this morning.

A single car collsion took place earlier this morning on the R600 Kinsale Road, between the Five Mile junction and the Airport. The car ended up on its roof and the road was blocked for a period until emergency services were on the scene and the collision has now been cleared and the road is open again.

Another single car collision took place on the R587 Dunmanway to Macroom Road at the townland of Aultagh. The collision is on a dangerous bend and the car is on its side resulting in the road being blocked. Gardaí are currently attending the scene and drivers can expect delays.

There was also a single car collision on the L2218 Killumney to Crossbarry Road, near Memorial Cross. The car is also on its side and is obstructing traffic. Drivers can expect delays too as emergency services attend the scene.
