Accident occured in Bantry town centre on Saturday
A WOMAN in her 70s has died after she was hit by a truck in Bantry town centre earlier today.
It is believed the accident happened shortly after noon in the centre of the West Cork town.
The woman died at the scene. Her body was removed to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Gardaí in Bantry are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Bantry Garda Station on 027-20860.
