Diversions in place as flooding hits Skibbereen

SKIBBEREEN’s Bridge St has been closed to traffic this evening, following a flash flood near the Eldon Hotel.
Emergency services are in the area and traffic has been diverted.
As the heavy rainfall continues, combined with high winds, there are now fears that the flooding may become more extensive throughout the region as night falls.
