CORK had the fourth highest average earnings in the country last year at €46,416, figures released by the Central Statistics Office show.
The CSO’s Distribution of Earnings report for 2024 shows Dublin workers commanded the highest average annual salary at €49,224, followed by Kildare (€48,431), Wicklow (€46,527), Cork and Meath (€46,272).
Average earnings in Cork were also greater than the average of the State which was €44,816.

The gender pay gap continues with the median annual earnings for men in Cork at €52,359 compared to €40,427 for women.
