Drimoleague's Finbarr Collins, a 4th Year Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management student at Cork CIT has won a major cocktail competition.

DRIMOLEAGUE’S Finbarr Collins, a 4th Year Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management student at Cork CIT has won a major cocktail competition.

Finbarr, who studies at the Department of Tourism & Hospitality, returned victorious last week, having won the National Student Hospitality Cocktail Competition at Catex in the RDS in Dublin.

Edward Dillon & Co sponsored the competition and it brought together the best mixology students from colleges throughout Ireland.

The win for Finbarr follows his recent gold medal win in his competition class at the annual AEHT Competitions in Serbia where 425 competitors, representing 85 European Tourism and Hospitality colleges from 40 member countries in 10 competition classes, competed for European titles.

‘Finbarr has brought even more prestige to the Institute and we are very proud of his achievements and congratulate him, along with his lecturer and mentor Gail Cotter, who prepared him for the events,’ said Adrian Gregan of CIT.
