The four-old twins were honoured for their bravery when their granny fell ill.

TWINS Seán and Emma O'Sullivan were awarded special bravery medals today for helping to save their granny Ruth Clarke when she fell ill recently while minding them overnight.

The brave twins managed to contact their mum and their granddad using their granny's phone and alerted them to what had happened.

The presentation took place this morning at the Naíonra at Gaelscoil Mhichíl Uí Choileáin in Clonakilty and the two four-year-olds were presented with their medals by Dr Jason van der Velde of West Cork Rapid Response and Clonakilty Mayor Gretta O'Donovan.
