A BANDON family has just returned from an action-packed five-day family break at Center Parcs UK.
The O’Callaghan family of four was one of 21 lucky families to have won the trip as part of Center Parcs’ first promotion in Ireland to celebrate the forthcoming opening of the forest resort in Longford next summer. The resort will be their sixth forest resort and its first outside of the UK.
At the heart of every resort is the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, which is heated to 29.5°C all year round.
Additionally, with more than 200 indoor, outdoor and water sports activities to choose from for all ages, including unique adventures for little ones and adrenaline-fuelled thrills for daredevils, to calming and creative activities, the O’Callaghan family were spoilt for choice.
Helen O’Callaghan said: ‘It has something for everyone of all ages and abilities at any time of year and is not weather dependent. The lodges are finished to a high standard, the pool area is fantastic, there is acres of woodland to explore by foot or by bicycle and the variety of restaurants suits every palette with excellent staff.’
The Center Parcs concept is to provide short breaks in the forest, bringing families together and back to nature with high quality accommodation, a range of leisure facilities and more than 200 indoor and outdoor activities, all set within a protected and enhanced woodland environment. Each village is set within around 400 acres of natural woodland, with trees, streams and wildlife surrounding apartment and lodge accommodation. At the heart of each resort is the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, an extensive range of restaurants, cafés and retail outlets, as well as the Aqua Sana Spa.
The development in the Longford Forest Resort will provide 466 lodges and 30 apartments, which will accommodate up to 2,500 guests.
