Staff at Apple offices in Model Farm Road, Lavitt's Quay and Hollyhill have been evacuated following what is believed to be two bomb scares earlier this morning.

STAFF at Apple offices in Lavitts Quay, Model Farm Road and the main Hollyhill campus have been evacuated this morning. An alarm was sounded at the offices and all staff assembled outside.

There are unconfirmed reports that it was due to two bomb scares and the army bomb disposal unit has been notified. Gardaí have been attending the scene and are currently searching the offices in Lavitt's Quay.

Staff were sent an email at 10:03am this morning telling them the company had been 'made aware of a potential security threat' and that the offices at Hollyhill, Lavitt's Quay and Model Farm Road, would have to be evacuated.

Apologising for the 'inconvenience' Apple management said 'safety is our primary concern'.

It urged staff to take their coats and car keys with them.
