A drystock early spring workshop, organised by Grass10 and Teagasc, will take place on Tuesday March 3rd at 3pm at Emily Foley’s Beef Farm in Aglish, Coachford (P12 HK81).

On the day, attendees will be guided on how to make the most of grass this spring by preparing for turnout, learning about the impacts of early nitrogen and slurry application, and grazing infrastructure. Attendees will also learn techniques and tips for grazing in difficult conditions.

Elsewhere, on the same day at the Teagasc office in Macroom, there will be a special workshop on organic inspections and record keeping.

Suitable for those who need guidance on organic inspections, the workshop will cover the most common non-compliances and tips for avoiding these pitfalls, as well as techniques for correctly completing organic record books.

There will also be opportunities to discuss any farming issues directly with organic certification body inspectors. The workshop takes place at 4pm at P12 TX32.
