Members have had an exciting start to October, with fantastic participation and achievements across recent competitions. The Stock Judging Competition drew a great turnout, showcasing the skill and enthusiasm of members from across the region.
In the Senior Beef section, first place went to Anthony Buckley (Caheragh), followed by Alan Deane (Dunmanway) in second and Paul O’Brien (Ballinadee) in third.
The U23 competition saw Paddy O’Donoghue (Ballinadee) claim first, with Jack Murphy and Diarmuid Bilous (both Bantry) in second and third.

The Sheep section was equally competitive, with Alan Deane placing first, Clodagh Lynch (Bantry) second, and a joint third for Katie Nicholas (Bantry) and Owen McCarthy (Ballinascarthy).
Well done to all who took part.
Looking ahead, our regional meeting takes place on Tuesday, 21st at 8.30pm in The Southern Bar, Dunmanway.
All are welcome and don’t forget to bring a carved pumpkin, with a prize for the most creative design.
The Carbery welding round will be held on Wednesday, 22nd in Darrara Agricultural College, with sign-in at 7pm and welding starting at 7.30pm.
Excitement is building for the Macra Rally over the October Bank Holiday weekend, and the month will finish with a Halloween Bowling Night in Leisureplex, followed by a social night in Clancy’s.
