SULLANE joined Drinagh Rangers at the summit of the West Cork Schoolboys and Schoolgirls League U16 Schoolgirls Premier standings following an 11-goal thriller.

A top-of-the-table meeting between second-placed Sullane and leaders Drinagh Rangers saw the former emerge 6-5 winners in Ballyvourney on Monday.

That outcome moved Sullane into a share of the division’s lead alongside Drinagh who suffered their first league loss.

Aisling Kelleher’s hat-trick along with Keely Dineen, Sadbh Cronin and Eithne Ni Laocha efforts won it for the hosts. Rosie O’Donovan (2), Laoise Young and Sarah Buttimer scored for Rangers.

There was plenty of SuperValu U12 Schoolgirls Premier League action this past week with three games completed on Monday evening.

Bay Rovers leapfrogged Drinagh Rangers into first place in the division following a 2-0 win at home to the Canon Crowley Park club. Kate O’Brien and Gracie McCarthy netted the Kealkill side’s goals.

Elsewhere in the U12 Schoolgirls Premier, Abby McCarthy and Farah Healy strikes earned Dunmanway Town a 2-1 win over Clonakilty AFC Green. Eimear Forristal scored for the visitors.

Clonakilty AFC Red and Beara United’s league clash ended 3-2 to the Castletownbere club in Ballyvackey. Cadhla Henvey and Alanna Mae Mathieson were on target for Clon. Ashlinn Downey (2) and Lizzie O’Shea goals cemented Beara’s second league win.

A SuperValu U14 Schoolgirls Premier League local derby between Clonakilty AFC and Lyre Rovers produced six goals in Ballyvackey.

Rovers emerged 4-2 winners and claimed their first league win of the season thanks to a Leah Buttimer hat-trick. Leah Deasy was Lyre’s other scorer in a game Lucy Harrington and Ciara Kavanagh found the net for Clonakilty.

Togher Celtic extended their lead at the summit of the SuperValu U14 Schoolgirls Championship thanks to a 2-1 defeat of Bay Rovers in Kealkill. Isabelle Ross netted for Bay but Faye Buston and Nicola Hurley efforts maintained Celtic’s dominance of the division.

Clonakilty AFC City remain the team to catch at the top of the SuperValu U13 Schoolboys Premier League.

The Ballyvackey club maintained their perfect league record of six wins from six games thanks to victory at home to local rivals Lyre Rovers. Sonny Crowley opened the scoring but Max O’Keefe and Sean Kennedy efforts secured Clonakilty’s hard-earned 2-1 win.

Riverside Athletic moved up to joint-third in the U13 Schoolboys Championship courtesy of a comprehensive win away to Bay Rovers. Daniel Brady, Noah Kingston, Rian O’Mahony, Eanna O’Sullivan and Joshua Dineen were on target for the winners.

Skibbereen Dynamos maintained a three-way lead at the summit of the SuperValu U14 Schoolboys Championship following a big win at home to Sullane.

Dynamos remain at the top of the standings alongside Beara United and Riverside Athletic thanks to goals from Liam O’Sullivan, Savva Pelesok, Ethan Atalay, Sean Hurley, Oisin Deasy and Ben Pitton Brady. Conor Kelleher scored twice in reply for a battling Sullane.

Two Tadhg Harrington goals were enough to earn Bay Rovers all three points at home to Lyre Rovers in SuperValu U14 Schoolboys League One. Ewan Bell replied with Rovers’ only goal in a 2-1 loss.

A busy SuperValu U15 Schoolboys Premier League period has Lyre Rovers sitting four points clear of a chasing pack that includes Castlelack and Drinagh Rangers.

Third-placed Drinagh closed the gap on the leaders courtesy of a convincing win away to Beara United.

Danny Orpen scored for the Castletownbere club. Kingsley Crosby Osagie, Charlie Ryan Daly and Rocco O’Reilly Bermueller were amongst the Canon Crowley Park club’s scorers.

In the same division, Bay Rovers and Riverside Athletic played out a 1-1 draw. Callum Connolly opened the scoring before a Keelan Browne equaliser earned Riverside a share of the points in Kealkill.

Clonakilty AFC recorded their second U15 Schoolboys Premier win of the season following a 4-2 triumph away to Skibbereen Celtic. Cian Afonso and Robert Leahy each scored twice while Ben Twohig netted both of Celtic’s replies.

Castlelack’s dominance of the SuperValu U16 Schoolboys Premier League continued with a one-sided victory at home to Kilmichael Rovers. Charlie Curtin, Harry Chambers, Andrew Langford and Sean Murray goals moved the league leaders four points ahead of closest challengers Togher Celtic with only a handful of fixtures remaining.
