Skibb team wins first championship title at this grade

BY JOHN MURPHY

O’DONOVAN Rossa are South West U21B FC champions for the first time.

The Skibb team’s early second-half scoring blitz set them on their way to victory against Bandon in Bal on Sunday evening.

The sides had been level at the break, 1-5 to 0-8, but Skibb scored 2-2 inside the first three minutes of the second half to pull clear.

Dylan Hourihane and Joe Lynch scored the goals.

This is Bandon’s third defeat in this final in a row, and despite Adam Murphy scoring a hat-trick, they had no answer to Skibb’s second-half scoring power.
